Emily MacGriff, Owner and Writing Guide
Emily is primarily a poet but has completed a full length play, handful of short stories, novel and is in the process of writing a memoir. Her writing pulls from her time aboard expedition ships as a wilderness guide in the polar regions (Antarctica and the High Arctic), South Pacific, Europe and North America. She is mostly retired from shipboard work and passionate about sharing her love for writing and literature. She received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2022 and is based in Grosse Pointe Farms with her husband and children where she works for the Outdoor Writers Association of America.
